When most buyers go into home search mode - they may come up with 50+ listings to consider. Naturally, that's too many homes to look at if you're on a short visit from out of town! I will help you to narrow your search down to a couple dozen properties, keeping these tips in mind:
- Before coming into town, arrange your needs into one list. Then write the things you simply want in another. If a home comes up short on your must-haves, there's no need to even spend time looking at it.
- Know your budget. If you are going to get a home loan, have your pre-approved amount beforehand so we can eliminate homes which exceed your price range.
- Think about drive time to your job or other interests. Traffic in the Oakland area could be different than what you're used to, so let me know how much time you're ready to spend travelling each day.
